Waterkotte have been designing and manufacturing geothermal heating systems since 1970 and are currently the European market leaders. Waterkotte heat pumps use established refrigeration technology in conjunction with modern computer control systems to harness geothermal energy. The modular unit offers a comprehensive package inclusive of heating, domestic hot water production and natural cooling.  The heat pump module contains all the components of the refrigeration cycle, including the core of compressor, evaporator, condenser and expansion device, in a compact chassis comparable to the size of a common washing machine. Waterkotte heat pumps contain recognised refrigerants that comply with international standards. These refrigerants are approved and recommended by manufacturers of the relevant compressors. The entire heat pump technological apparatus is housed inside a compact chassis barely larger than a common domestic washing machine. It can be kept in any room free of frost with a minimum temperature of 12 °C Every heat pump heater model contains a core with evaporators and condensers. In Waterkotte heat pumps, the cooling cycle is achieved in accordance with the appropriate safety regulations. The manufacturing quality conforms to international norm ISO 9000 and is complemented by automated quality control of the cooling circuit’s tight seal and refrigerant filling, as well as a documented test operation. Units come standard-equipped with a three-level adjustable circulating pump, air separator, automatic air deflector, filling pressure gauge, filling and draining valve, expansion container, and all flexible connections between heat pump module and static casing parts.
