Nutherm Integrated Design

When designing a geothermal heating system for a large commercial project there are many factors that must be considered.

-       Heating and cooling loads may need to be considered as well as large hot water demands.

-       Loads could be distributed throughout the buildings in multiple ways such as underfloor heating, fan coils, air handling units, radiators or any combination of the above.

-       Financial and environmental concerns that may be desired by or enforced upon the customer

-       Choice of heat source and heat source design

However it is insufficient to address any of these issues independently. For example, rather than installing an oil boiler to meet the heating/hot water demand and a chiller to meet the cooling load, it is advantageous to consider the design of the entire system.

In this case a correctly designed heat pump system could potentially meet all 3 of these demands, using only 1 unit. This would firstly reduce installation costs and would also reduce running costs of the system.

Over the last 40 years, Waterkotte have developed a system approach to heat collection, heat distribution, hot water production and cooling. One of the keys to our continued success is the close system partner relationship between Nutherm, Waterkotte and our installer network.
